MadMatcher LLC builds on a decade of work from UW–Madison’s Magellan Data Management Group, turning it into software a data team can run.
MadMatcher was founded in 2026 by Dev Ahluwalia. It packages the Magellan group’s entity matching research, including Sparkly, Delex, and MatchFlow, into tools a data team can run, with a commercial tier on top.
The work is split into the two steps of entity matching: blocking (Sparkly, Delex) and matching (MatchFlow). It runs in your own Spark or single-machine environment, so your data stays where it is.
